£9.85 £8.37
Liquid painting medium for acrylic colours. Add in any ratio to acrylic colour, to achieve a glossier finish. Can be diluted with water as required.
For example: mix 50-50 medium to acrylic colour to gain a strong gloss finish. This initial mixture can be further diluted either with medium or with water to create thinner glazes.

Liquid painting medium for acrylic colours. Add in any ratio to acrylic colour, to achieve a matt finish. Can be diluted with water as required.
For example: mix 50-50 medium to acrylic colour to gain a flat matt finish. This initial mixture can be further diluted either with medium or with water to create thinner glazes.

For example, to make a rich glossy glaze, add 10% acrylic colour to 90% of Extra Glossy Fluid Medium.
£11.40 £9.69
This is a liquid painting medium for acrylic colours. It can be added in any ratio to acrylic colour to achieve a satin-matt finish. May be diluted with water as required to create thinner glazes.

This is normally used as a ground coating and is applied to canvas, board, paper, etc. It's slightly granular preparation adds a little texture into the painting ground and when over painted with thin glazes of acrylic increases the luminosity of the acrylic colour (particularly transparent colours) .
May also be mixed (for example 50-50) with acrylic colour to create a paint mix that refracts more light within the dried paint layers.
£13.50 £11.47
Impasto gels can be used to fatten the volume of acrylic colour and to extend acrylic colour.
For example, mix Acrylic Impasto Gel Gloss 50-50 with acrylic colour to gain a heavy gel consistency with a glossy finish.
In this form, can be applied with spatula/painting knives, etc to gain thicker passages of paint (up to 3-5mm thickness without shrinkage).

For example, mix Acrylic Impasto Gel Matt 50-50 with acrylic colour to gain a heavy gel consistency with a matt finish. In this form, can be applied with spatula/painting knives, etc to gain thicker passages of paint (up to 3-5mm thickness without shrinkage).
Matt Gels are slightly cloudy upon drying and have a marginal whitening effect on the mixed colour.£11.40 £9.69
A slower drying impasto gel, with a glossy finish. This gel allows the paint passage to worked on over a longer period of time. Typically for 30-45 minutes in ambient conditions.
£12.75 £10.83
This paste can be mixed with acrylic colour to achieve thicker passages of paint where heavy impasto areas are required (up to 3-5mm thickness). Thicker applications are more prone to cracking onto canvas but may be possible on rigid supports (e.g. board).
The structure paste has a dense consistency and an off-white colour. This off-white colour will have some effect when mixed into acrylic colours by reducing the tinting strength of the acrylic colour.
An alternative to mixing paste and colour directly is to lay down an application of structure paste first. When dried, it can then be over-painted with the chosen colour(s).
£13.50 £11.47
This is a final varnish for dried acrylic paintings. Ensure the paint surface is completely dried before application. Typically, an acrylic painting, no thicker than 1-2mm will take around 14 days to cure completely.
The varnish is applied with a flat hog varnish brush, ideally 5mm thick and 40-50mm wide. The varnish can be diluted as required with water. For example, dilution by 25% with cold water will allow the varnish to coat the surface evenly, without drag and not too runny as to be difficult to handle when brushing. Alternatively Acrylic Varnish Gloss can be spray applied although it should be diluted to some extent with water first.
The heavy gloss of undiluted varnish can be reduced by dilution with water. The more water is added the less the gloss effect will be.£13.50 £11.47

Wallace Seymour Artist’s Acrylics typically dry in 20-30 minutes in ambient conditions. The drying time can be extended by adding Acrylic Retarder.
For example, a 70%-30% mix of acrylic colour and Acrylic Retarder will prolong the drying time another 15-30 minutes. If too much retarder is added, the paint film will remain water-receptive (resoluble) for a longer period. The retarder has a matting effect, when used in higher doses.
Acrylic Retarder can also be used as a water-resoluble binder, when making paint using just dry pigment and acrylic retarder.
£13.35 £11.35
For use with screenprinting, Wallace Seymour Artist’s Acrylic can be used in conjunction with Wallace Seymour Screenprinting Paste.
The best starting point is to mix: 30% screenprinting paste to 70% acrylic colour. Modify the amount of screenprinting paste as required by adding more than 30%, the drying time (‘open time’ on the screen) is extended.
If colour has been left to dry in the screens wash the screens with water and flush out gently with warm water.
£25.45 £24.18
This is an Acrylic Binder for pigments for custom made paints where a dead flat, matt finish is required. Mix your pigment with water to form a thick paste/slurry then incorporate 50% binder to 50% pigment paste and mix well.
Bindex MATT can also be added to acrylic colour in any ratio, to achieve a very matt paint film.
