Kendal Green, Natural Plant Colour
Bespoke production of natural green, as used locally in production of textile garments in and around the mills of the Kent Valley in Westmorland. Ginesta and Indigo plant pigments are milled together to create the blend.
The colour may vary from batch to batch, according to tinting strength principally of the Ginesta. You can see this green in the works of Frances Towne – where the yellow component tends to fade a little, revealing more of the indigo blue. Semi-transparent.
