Paynes Grey, original historic colour

A blend of natural red iron ochre, natural mudstone (Davy’s Grey) and Lapis lazuli. Gently transparent, especially when pulled out to a glaze. A unique blend of rare pigments following the suggestion of English artist William Payne (1760-1830), using their own production unique natural pigments.

Drying: 3-4 days in thin application.
