A transparent, earthy yellow, New Gamboge offers a soft, natural hue with a gentle warmth. Its subtle undertones and strong tinting strength make it an excellent choice for botanical illustrations, capturing golden light effects, or blending with other colours to create a wide range of natural tones. Originally derived from the resin of trees native to eastern Asia, it is now produced as a synthetic organic pigment, delivering the rich, transparent, yolk-like colour artists have come to appreciate.
